Yakutat, population 600, is located on the northern strand of the Inside Passage region of southeast Alaska, at the mouth of Yakutat Bay. Beginning as a Russian fort built at the end of the 18th century as a trading post for pelts, the town has blossomed into one of Alaska’s premier locations for sport fishing.
