Education & Experience:

Before coming to SEARHC, Dr. McPherson held a position as a surgeon at Claremore Indian Hospital in Claremore, Oklahoma. She earned her medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. Dr. McPherson is not new to Alaska, however. She lived in Anchorage for 16 years and worked at Providence Alaska Medical Center as an EKG/CV technician before going to medical school, and received her two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Dr. McPherson has a keen interest in rural general surgery and is very happy to be able to provide exceptional general surgery services to the people of Southeast Alaska.
