Jeff received his Bachelor of Science Biology from Allegheny College; Doctor of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College; Master of Community Health Education/Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University; Master of Public Health with concentration in Community Health and Preventive Medicine from University of New Mexico.
His previous career stops include the US Army – 45th Station Hospital in Vancouver, Washington; the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut; the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Chinle, Arizona; the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico; and the Four Corners Regional Health Center in Red Mesa, Arizona.
After his arrival at SEARHC, Jeff said, “I am glad to be here. In the time that I have been here in Southeast Alaska, I have really appreciated the kindness of the people I have met. The cultural traditions and way of life here is quite a change from what I experienced in the Navajo Nation.”
Jeff’s awards include two USPHS Commendations; two USPHS Achievement Medals; four USPHS Unit Commendations; two Surgeon General’s Certificates of Appreciation; two Army Achievement Medals; two Navajo Area Director’s Awards; and the Shiprock Service Unit Special Recognition Award.Special Interests:
At work, Jeff’s special medical interests are Orthopedics, Manual Therapy, Myofascial-origin pain syndromes, and Headaches. Outside work his interests are hiking, running, fishing, soccer, mountain biking, music, kayaking, camping, reading and astronomy.
