The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) recently hired Steven Forde, PA-C, to join its medical staff at the Alicia Roberts Medical Center in Klawock as a physician assistant specializing in internal medicine.
Steven completed his undergraduate and physician assistant education at the University of Florida School of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla. He has 17 years experience in internal medicine, geriatric care and acute care in a hospital setting at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring, Fla. He also was a medic in the U.S. Air Force. Steven is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants, and received the NCCPA’s Gold Seal for being in its top 10 percent of applicants.
“We welcome Steven to our medical team at the Alicia Roberts Medical Center,” said Dr. Ellen Kemper, ARMC Medical Director. “He will see a lot of our urgent care and walk-in patients, in addition to establishing his own panel of patients for ongoing care.”
Steven’s medical interests include acute, intensive care unit and cardiac care, and internal medicine. He also enjoys spending time with his family, baseball, hiking, hunting and fishing.
“I am extremely happy to be on Prince of Wales providing care for the wonderful people of this community,” Forde said. “Everyone has made me and my daughter feel so welcome here. Thank you.”
