Bill has a Master of Social Work degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich., and a Bachelor of Science degree in social work from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Bill started with the SEARHC Behavioral Health staff as a behavioral health clinician at the Hoonah Health Center. He moved to Front Street Clinic in Juneau in October 2012. Before joining SEARHC, Bill worked as a program manager/itinerant counselor with the Council of Athabascan Tribal Governments in Fort Yukon. He also worked as a residential manager for Griffin Street Apartments in Toledo, Ohio, working with previously homeless veterans with severe and persistent mental illness.
Bill’s medical interests include mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). He also enjoys fishing, hiking, reading, meditation and goofing off.
