Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine (Philadelphia). He completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Virginia Medical Center (Charlottesville, Va.). He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in premedicine from The Penn State University (State College, Pa.). Before moving to Juneau, Dr. Anderson worked at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka and as the Medical Director in Haines. He also has worked as a locum tenens physician (traveling physician) with stops in Sitka, Bethel, Kotzebue and Ketchikan in Alaska, in addition to other assignments in Washington State and California.
Dr. Anderson’s special interests include general family medicine, obstetrics and evidence-based medicine. He also enjoys hiking, fishing, photography and mountain climbing. Dr. Anderson is the medical director for the SEARHC Haines Health Center.
