Matthew earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Charleston, S.C. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in modern languages (Spanish) from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. Prior to becoming a physical therapist and moving to Alaska, Matthew spent seven years working as a counselor and then head counselor at a summer camp for underprivileged kids, and for speech-impaired, hard-of-hearing and deaf kids.

Special Interests: 

Matthew’s special medical interests include orthopedics, sports therapy and pediatrics. He also enjoys the outdoors, going hiking, camping, snowboarding, and college football (especially the Clemson Tigers).
