Mary D. Fitzgerald, MS LPC
Mary has worked with the Developmentally Disabled population for 10 years. Before moving to Juneau, she was building her own practice as a Psychotherapist, while managing a tea shop called The Tea Grotto in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mary moved to Alaska, for a job opportunity at Juneau Alliance Mental Health Inc. (November 2011- March 2013).
She enjoys working at the Front Street Clinic here in Juneau. The opportunity has truly been an eye opening experience for her. Mary is able to work with the homeless population and understand them more closely. She said "It is amazing to see where these individuals have traveled in their lives and loves finding their strengths amidst their struggle. They express so much gratitude for the smallest kindness in life."

Mary received a Masters Degree in Mental Health and Counseling from the University of Phoenix. She has additional training in; Co-Occurring Disorders, Schizophrenia, Trauma, Birth Order, Multi-Cultural Counseling and completed a course in Shaman Counseling.

Mary was valedictorian of her high school graduation class and received student of the year award, along with a scholarship.
Mary is interested in combining Eastern and Western medicine. She is drawn to holistic methods, both medically and therapeutically. Mary also loves helping the community of Juneau to work together.
Outside of work Mary enjoys kayaking, whale watching, traveling (National and International), tea, personality profiling, also spending time with family and friends.
