Deneise holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University. She also earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Deneise has lived and worked on Prince of Wales Island for 30 years in a variety of positions: Peer Helper Coordinator and Prevention Specialist at Community Mental Health Center; Frail Elderly, Developmentally Disabled and Children's Mental Health at Community Connections; and as a Special Education Teacher at Klawock Schools, and Ofice of Children's Services. She has worked for a number or SEARHC programs including Wisewoman, Behavioral Health Prevention, Tobacco, Health Promotion, and as a SAMHSA Methamphetamine Grant Manager.

Awards & Honors 

Deneise graduated Cum Laude and was awarded Outstanding Senior Student at Eastern Michigan University.

Special Interests: 

Deneise's behavioral health special interests are PTSD and Prolonged Exposure Therapy with Veterans and Geriatrics. Her personal special interests are reading, walking, quilting, gardening/houseplants and road trips especially in her '65 Mustang.
