DUTIES: Provide behavioral health services on behalf of children, adults, and families in Craig, AK. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work (MSW), or related Human Service program. Mental Health track emphasis in degree program is preferable. Meets the educational requirements for licensure in Alaska as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at time of hire. Applicant may need to accrue supervised clinical hours and/or take the exam for licensure. Once licensure is obtained it is a requirement to keep it current for the duration of employment. Certification as a chemical dependency counselor within one year is a goal for this position. Five years experience in Human Services, preferably including two years experience with a mentally ill population and/or one year experience with substance abuse, either as paid position or as graduate internship with responsibilities in areas of admission, assessment, treatment, supportive care, and discharge planning.
