Education & Experience:

Esther received her Bachelor of Science and Nursing from Northwest Nazarene University in Boise, Idaho, and earned her Master of Nursing-Family Practice Nurse Practitioner from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.

Prior to SEARHC, Ms. Heath spent several years as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at the University of Washington Cardiovascular ICU where she managed care for both cardiac and cardiovascular patients.

Special Interests:

Professionally, Esther is interested in preventative care, complex patient management, and internal medicine.

Personally, she enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and being involved in the community.

Education & Experience:

Toni graduated with a MS in Nursing from University of Phoenix. 

Prior to coming to SEARHC, Toni worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner for Cigna Care Today West Thomas and Choice Medical Walk-In. Toni also brings over 25 years of experience from working in the ICU at Paradise Valley Hospital.

Toni takes great pride in providing safe and appropriate patient care while looking to form relationships with all people.

Aaron C. Fong, BA, MA


Specialty: Behavioral Health - Clinician

Education & Experience:

Aaron Fong is the Behavioral Health Clinician for SEARHC’s Hoonah clinic and has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from City University of Seattle (completed in 2007). He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies (sometimes called Ethnic Studies at larger universities) from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Prior to working for SEARHC, Aaron had been the Ketchikan Program Director for SAIL/Southeast Alaska Independent Living, an agency that provides grant services, recreation, and advocacy to individuals who experience disabilities throughout Southeast. He was also a care coordinator & staff supervisor at Community Connections on Prince Of Wales island (in Craig) for two years, staf ng caregivers with older adult clients. On “P.O.W.” he did home visits with elders in Klawock, Craig, Thorne Bay, and Hydaburg.

Before moving to Alaska in 2011, Aaron spent time as a clinic intern then full-time case manager/clinician at Sound Mental Health, a community mental health agency serving the entire greater Puget Sound/ King County/ Seattle metro area. He also worked for Catholic Community Services as a therapist/case manager (in Everett, WA) for two separate programs – Jail Transition Services, and, the Non-Medicaid Program, respectively. Both those programs served clientele in all of Snohomish County.

Cora M. Roberts, DHAT


Specialties: Dental Health Aide Therapist, Dentistry

Certification: Community Health Aide Certification Board, Dental Health Aide Therapist

Education & Experience:

Cora Roberts graduated from Hoonah City Schools. She received her Associate of Arts in Business Administration (AABA) in Visual Communication from American Intercontinental University. Cora completed the Dental Health Aide Therapy Educational Program through the University of Washington’s DENTEX Program in Alaska.

Cora worked as the Food & Beverage Assistant Manager at Icy Strait Point and as the SEARHC building attendant in Hoonah. She now works for SEARHC Dental as the Dental Health Aide Therapist. Cora says “The SEARHC departments and workers in Hoonah work well together to provide the best care for their community. I feel honored to serve my hometown of Hoonah at SEARHC Dental.”

Special Interests:

Cora’s professional interests are striving to prevent and educate about tooth decay. Her personal interests are family, arts and crafts, and subsistence fishing, hunting and berry picking.
