The 2016 Wild Kitchen Retreat will be held at the Eagle River United Methodist Camp from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28. It will include sessions on enjoying Juneau’s wild edible plants and berries, from finding and foraging to cooking and preserving. There will be opportunities for foraging hikes and hands-on cooking, as well as time to relax and enjoy the day. Plants you’ll see and collect may include cranberries, lingonberries, blueberries, Labrador tea and mushrooms.
